What makes me a photographer and a artist, is my ability to envision in my mind’s eye, what the image needs to look like and then achieve it. The heartfelt care at a nursing home in Briton,South Dakota.
Balleraean studio owner, Raena Rasmussen choreographed her members to a one, two, three jump on stage at the Orpheum Theatre in downtown Sioux Falls. Like focus, motion in a photograph, can be recorded as completely frozen to unrecognizable blur. Strobes where added to the ambient light of the stage and the dancers were photographed at f3.5, 1/160 of a second with a 35mm fixed lens. I loved toning this image in Photoshop bringing a warmth to the highlights, and a cool tone to the shadows, a version of split toning.
